Back with a few minor updates for you. Little offerings, but delicious ones. First of all, several new fics in the fanfiction section, including a new one from my German twin TerrorPuschel. Also take a look at the Essays section for a new essayist - MonsterBrat - and her interesting take on Z/S. We also have a new affiliate! Please welcome Crazy Strawheadz, an awesome German fansite, to the family!

The fandom is still going strong, and I have the update to prove it! First of all, I am delighted to announce that the inimitable Sherry Marie has finally joined the ranks of archived authors on Dizzy! If you haven't read her work, you'd be doing yourself a tremendous foul NOT to click over to the fanfiction page and spend a little time getting to know her stuff. Also on the fic page, you may find a long-awaited update to my own story, 'Shot Through the Heart', but that being neither here nor there... There's a new artist up at the fanart page! Please welcome GothicDancer to the Dizzy family...she's got a couple of cute pieces up, along with an amusing mini-doujin. Also, let's not forget that K-F has been kind enough to sub One Piece TV Special 2, providing us with several new screencaps. (Truthfully, I've been waiting for a HQ version of TV Special 2 for a YEAR now...I'm ecstatic to have these caps. NEEEERD!!) Ah, but that's not all! There is something for everyone to look forward to, and that is, OP Yaoi nakama Vejiita4Eva just returned from Japan with what can only be described as a DOUJINSHI SPRAWL THE SIZE OF A CITY BLOCK purchased from that haven of havens, Mandarake. It may take some time, but she has promised Dizzy first grabs at scans, perhaps even scanlations! Stay tuned!

Bad news: I won't be at AFO this year. Sadness. Good news: YOU GET A MASSIVE UPDATE, including three new doujinshi courtesy of the wonderful contribution of Graycat, several new icons courtesy of Linc, and a few other surprises here and there if you just surf around. It's the update you've all been waiting for! Shadow finally adds a new doujinshi to the Dizzy collection! Enjoy - I'm going to try and add at least one every month. Also, make sure to check out the links section...Utopian Trunks at 'East of Sanity' has posted some great Z/S stuff, some doujinshi included! This also may be the update you've been waiting for because I finally got my lazy ass caught up with all the fanart and fanfic submissions that have been sitting in my inbox since...let's see...DECEMBER!?! So, yeah...sink your teeth into that!
FYI, I'll probably be hosting the Shonen Ai panel at this year's Anime Festival Orlando (August 5-7), so if you wanna stop by and say "hi!" feel free...I'll either be the freak dressed as Donquixote Doflamingo or Urahara Kisuke from BLEACH, depending on the day.

If fanfic isn't quite your speed, I hasten to let everyone know that Scuttlebutt Inc. is also sponsoring a fanart contest that looks to be a great load of fun! If you need a refresher on your Scuttlebutt lore, check out our fanfic section, which needs badly to be updated, or just check out One Piece Yaoi on LJ! Now, for the updates: I did a full sweep of the fanart section - hopefully it's completely updated now! Also, more new screencaps! And always keep in mind, if you have ANYTHING you'd like to contribute to the site, I'm open for submission! (Especially since I really suck at keeping the fanfic section properly updated...if you want to submit a fic that's already been posted at ff.net or on LJ somewhere, simply send me the link to that particular post/archival. I'd really love to get rhe fanfic section back up to speed!)

Wow, Shadow actually updated. It's a miracle! New screencaps, new links, and new fanart from Vejiita, Taco, Shy, and yours truly (I'm still trying to catch up, so what may constitute "new" is probably "old" if you hang out on DevArt). Soon to come, I swear, will be the 'Brave Story' scanlation, and also a 'Shangri-La' scanlation which the wonderful Vejiita is working on for the site!
I'd also like to take this opportunity to pimp the contest being sponsored by Z/S wunderkinds Scuttlebutt Inc.. Go, enter, WIN! Keep the circle of OP Yaoi love flowing!

Watch out! Before you knew it, I snuck up on you all with an update! The wonderful and talented X-Parrot has blessed Dizzy with the addition of two brand new Z/S doujinshi scanlations! She's even agreed to host them on her site, for the time being, since I'm hurting so much for space. Boo....*sad Japanese girl face*
Meanwhile, in the fanart section, welcome new artist Shy to the collective by checking out her femme-Sanji-and-Zoro interpretation. It's delish. ^_^ As for the ever-amazing Ai-Lupin, I'm STILL working to get her contributions fully updated. Do you believe I still have over twenty pages of her work still to add? Anyway, a lot of her newer stuff is up now for your perusal.

Being unemployed sucks majorly, but it does have its perks - for instance, being able to go to JACO Halloween and get a picture of my best friend and my girlfriend dressed and Zoro and Sanji, snogging. That, and a few other pics (including the infamous duo of Kim and Jess, the One True Z/S), can be found in the brand new cosplay gallery here at Dizzy! I've also added a TON of new screencaps, thanks to the Foxy arc finally airing on Japanese television! Let's hear it for our wonderful raw providers, allowing Dizzy to now have OVER 100 SCREENCAPS! Woo hoo!
Unfortunately, my server space is running low. That's a HUGE detriment to this site in particular, since the doujinshi I host takes up about 70% of all my server space. Hopefully I'll have a job soon, and then I can simply buy some more space. If that doesn't happen soon, though, I'll be forced to temporarily take down some of the less popular doujinshi, to free up some megs here and there. Temporarily. All will be figured out once I'm employed again. It's a slow process in a town like this, but it's a process that equates, oddly enough, to having a full time job.
I'd also like to remind everyone that ART AND FIC ARE OPEN FOR SUBMISSION. If you've got some Z/S-themed artwork/fanfic/etc....send it to me, please! Just put "Dizzy contributions" or somesuch in the subject line.
I've finally added the fan contest entries to the fanart gallery...took me long enough, huh?
Oh, and what happened to my translators? *sad face!* I miss you gals! If anyone else is willing to translate some doujinshi, by all means, contact me. I'm still very serious about this site.
One more announcement...the beautiful and wonderful Laura has suggested that we, as a fandom, create our own 'zine! Yes, GREAT MEN OF THE HIGH SEAS: BOYS LOVE ISSUE is a project pioneered by Laura and currently being discussed at the OPYaoi LJ forum. Halloween draws near, and I draw nearer to insanity! :P Update is still on its way - I promise! I have lots of new art to add, some fanfic, and some new icons and wallpapers that are sure to rock your world. Just enjoy everything else until then, and wish me luck at finding a job!
